Sultan."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vol. 4, No. 2 (2008): 1\u201338.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The present paper is an attempt to explore the various views of the problematic\u00a0relation between sciences and humanities. It is a relation marked by a great extent\u00a0of discontent and misconception. It has six sections. The first section is a\u00a0theoretical background. The second deals with Wells&#8217;s fiction. The third is\u00a0devoted to Huxley&#8217;s. The fourth is about Snow&#8217;s writings in this field. The fifth\u00a0section discusses Albee&#8217;s Who&#8217;s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The last section deals\u00a0with the contribution of the post-modernistic writers to this controversy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Author&#8217;s bio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sabbar S. Sultan is an Associate Professor at Al Isra University, Amman, Jordan with interests in literary theory and criticism, and fiction. He has published a number of articles dealing with aspects of literary theory such as \u201cThe Image of the Critic in Modern Fiction\u201d (Yarmouk University, Jordan, 2005), \u201cSilence and its Discontents\u201d (Dirasat, University of Jordan, 2007), and \u201cCriticism vs. Life: F. R. Leavis\u2019s Example\u201d (University of Petra, Jordan, 2007).
