Kaz Ross coordinates Asian Studies at the University of Tasmania. Her main research interest is how contemporary theory (particularly in the areas of postcolonial studies, feminist theory and psychoanalysis) can be brought to the area of China Studies. Her specific research interests include theorising population control in China, which she pursued in her dissertation\u00a0Over Chinese Bodies: Towards a Postcolonial Sinology.<\/em>\u00a0She has been a visiting scholar at Peking University and an editor of the\u00a0Melbourne Journal of Politics.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n <\/em>Kaz Ross’ other research interests include contemporary Chinese art and food safety in China.
